We receive, collect and store any information you voluntarily enter on our website or provide us in any other way. This may include but is not limited to the messages via our contact form, emails, and instant chat features. Depending on the context of your interactions with us and our services, this may include personal information such as your:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Mailing and billing address

  • Personal photographs provided by you specifically and solely for quotations and creation of bespoke graphite portraiture as part of our services

  • Feedback of products and/or services to provide testimonials for other service users


Some information is collected automatically when you visit our website. This includes the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the Internet, the browser and device characteristics, language preferences, country, and referring URLs. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, and page interaction information.


Why do you collect this information?

We collect non-personal and personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the services

  • To provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support

  • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we may use to provide and improve our respective services 

  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations


How do you store, use, share and disclose your site visitors’ personal information?
Charlie Willis Art is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to share information about our products and services with you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  


Charlie Willis Art uses Zettle to manage payments for products and services. Zettle is not currently supported on the Wix.com platform which means that payments by card can only be made using our card reader device in person or a direct payment link. Zettle is the sole data controller for any and all personal information pertaining to a financial transaction using the card reader device or a direct payment link. Zettle is a PCI certified company meeting all PCI-DSS requirements and adheres to PCI PTS 4.1.


To protect our data and services, any communications received and all information pertaining to the sender and source of that communication, which are believed to be attempting to fraudulently obtain information or services from us, will be shared with the relevant authorities.


If you have purchased a product or service from us and have requested shipping of that product or service, we will need to share your name, mailing address and the value of the product or service you have purchased with selected Third Parties. This personal information will be used on Third Party Websites to generate accurate shipping quotations and then shared with the preferred Third Party to undertake the shipping service on your behalf. For International Shipping, this may also include sharing your personal information to complete customs declarations and relevant paperwork. The specific information required to be shared will be discussed with you in the first instance and consent obtained. It is important that all information provided by you to be used for these purposes is accurate and true.

How do you communicate with your site visitors?
Charlie Willis Art does not support the opt-out approach to marketing. Instead, we will never use any of the information collected from you to send marketing, promotions, or any other unsolicited contact unless you expressly consent and request it. 


When commissioning a portrait or purchasing a reborn art doll, you are entering a contract to purchase the service or product from us. The information provided by you at the time of entering this contract is used to fulfil our contractual obligations and obtain payment in full for the product or service in accordance with relevant national and international law.


If you send a message via the contact form or instant messaging service, information provided by you is used to respond to your inquiry.

How long do you keep information?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes outlined in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required (such as tax, accounting, or other legal purposes). There is no purpose within this notice that requires us to keep your personal information for more than two calendar years.
