Exhibitions

It has been an absolute privilege for some of Charlie's works to have been exhibited at art galleries around the UK. The art she creates and submits to exhibitions often deviates from the graphite pencil portraiture she specialises in for commissions, as these projects encourage and allow her to express herself in other mediums, such as acrylic or sculpture. All of Charlie's works featured in exhibitions are available for purchase unless otherwise stated. For further information or to express an interest in acquiring any of the available art, please get in touch.

Despite numerous consultations and a wealth of research demonstrating the long-term effects that it can cause, the Government (England) as recently as February 2020, maintains that it does not intend to legislate the prohibition of corporal punishment as it did not wish to "interfere in how loving families bring up their children". However, there is a fine line between negative reinforcement to address a child's undesirable behaviour and the use of physical and mental abuse to maintain a stance of power and control. No young child should have to abandon immature fear of imaginary monsters under the bed in an attempt to seek sanctuary from abhorrent cruelty that doesn't disappear when they close their eyes and count backwards in 3s.
